One fine day :)

We all have had good days and bad days. The past few have definitely not been "my days" though.
Today, as I blog from my new laptop (which I am still setting up); I cant help laughing at how tormenting the last month had been and how in spite of all the Stress ( with a capital "S") I survived or rather let me rope my poor hubby in here, we survived.

It all started with our wall clock running out of battery. Whats so bad about that, you ask. Well nothing, routine maintenance. I changed the battery so that we all run on time. And then, the water purifier choked itself. I picked up the phone and called the service desk. Oh yes! they were good. They did rush in and fix the thing. The next day, it gave up again . I called the help desk again. They came in fully armed this time. Its all fixed now, and sits in my kitchen smiling broadly, showing off its colorful glowing LEDs. I cant help, but smile back.

All good, right? Wrong.

My kitchen's drain was the next task to attend to. A blocked drain, a flooded kitchen with a toddler running around trying to splash the dirty water was a sight worth "seeing" or rather "smelling". Thanks to our plumber cum electrician who came in right on time and cleared the mess. Let me jot down lest I forget, I burnt a whole lot of fuses while using a steamer and ended up paying an obscene amount of money to the electrician.

And then KAbbooom! My computer crashed leaving us stranded; in fact we felt lost, miserable. Together with it went all our documents - work related and personal. We are in the process of salvaging whatever we can - a work in progress. God bless! My work was interrupted. Through there is a new laptop, I am still trying to catch up and set up. The new size zero Sony VAIO is still complaining about access and connectivity issues. Needs lots of patience, yet all I have in hand is lots of fatigue. Last but not the least, in the run to finish up and clean up, we managed to bump our car as well. A small accident and a broken number plate.

If all this does not satisfy the blood thirsty vampire in you; no worries, I've got more stories to tell. My little cherub has not been keeping very well these days. Bouts of chill and cold, the fever and pain post vaccination, a viral infection. Cross my heart- its no fun taking care of a sick child. You end up being exhausted - mentally and physically. Sleepless nights and hectic days. We've had our fair share, I believe. And whenever- me or my hubby- feel that we have bitten off more than we can chew, we take it out on each other.Thats our way of venting out!

ShahRukh sang : Dil dukha hai lekin, tootha toh nehi hain, ummeed ka daaman chootha toh nehi hain. Yep, I have not given up. After all, time flows, kids grow up, things go bad and then get fixed. oh yes "mama said there will be days like this, there will be days like this mama said".
